Quintessentially Women

Being a woman comes with its fair share of unique #girlproblems. In honour of Women’s Day, we have compiled a list of the most annoying hurdles that are unique to womankind, plus some all-natural advice on how to beat them.

#1 – Frizzy hair, hair is one of those things that always seems to be on either end of the spectrum. We just want a super perfect hair day, it can’t be too much to ask for. The secret to silky and luxurious hair is moisture, a great way to lock in hairs’ moisture is by cold watering sealing (rinsing with cold water) to flatten hair cuticles, making it hard for moisture to escape.

#2 – Dramatic lashes, we all want long, superstar eyelashes. A combination of castor oil and Vitamin E, used as a serum on the lashes, has been known to stimulate voluminous eyelash growth.

#3 – Beachy waves, they are not a problem, but sometimes we want the style. Soft flowing beachy waves is an easy and versatile hairstyle, that looks effortlessly beautiful. To achieve this look without stepping a foot on sand, all you need to do is mix up a quick saltwater spray (1 cup warm water, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil – or moisturising ingredient of choice) for your hair.

#4 – Are you sick of losing valuable hairs on a daily basis? You can prevent hair fall simply by ensuring that you use pH balanced hair care products. Diet can also influence hair strength and growth. Consuming the right vitamins for hair growth is an effective way to keep your hair looking flawless, try our or Nettle Tea 30g to supplement these nutrients.

#5 – Oily hair, what did we tell you – it’s either one of the other. sebaceous glands are glands that lubricate the skin by producing an oily substance. When these glands on your scalp work overtime, it can lead to greasy hair – by applying diluted lemon juice to your hair before washing, you can help normalise sebaceous glands functions.

#6 – Weak nails, when we think of fabulous nails, the first place our mind goes is to long and strong nails. A warm nail soak (1 cup hot water, a splash of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a few drops of Vitamin E oil) might be just what you need to give your nails a boost. Be sure to check out our Hair Growth 50ml to strengthen nails and improve hair growth.

#7 – Razor bumps, possibly the most inconvenient problem of them all. We all want smooth and perfect underarms, but shaving means razor bumps right? Not necessarily, we hear that aloe vera gel is amazing for alleviating this undesirable effect of shaving.

#8 – Finally, may all your bags be designer. Sometimes, this isn’t always the case – perhaps you’re taking a knock from a lack of sleep and low energy levels. For a better night’s sleep try Phyto-Force Sleep-Logic 50ml to transform your love-hate relationship with bedtime.
